CORE ACADEMICS
Our Core Academic consists of 6 major subjects that will be on the exam at the end of high school. Students are required to take all the subjects in order to join the P.A.S.S Program because at Rodwell, we value all subjects equally and also because all subjects are on the exam. Therefore, we choose our teachers for each subject very carefully to make sure that our students are well cared for. Our teachers are tough, but fair. They are strict, but care.
MATHEMATICS Because mathematics tend to be viewed as the hardest subject in the science realm, our program introduce the students to the basic operation that gets them interested and understand the true joy of learning mathematics. We make sure that our students not only enjoy working and solving math problems, but they know how to help each other in and outside of the classroom. We focus our curriculum on the Ministry of Education with supplemental materials taken from international resources to give our students a wide range of ability and creativity used to solve problems. PHYSICS Our physics program focuses students on the rigorous formulas and practical skills needed to pass the exam. We offer plenty of time in the classroom for students to practice problems as well as asking questions. We offer almost twice as many hours required by Ministry. Therefore, you can be assured that your child will have plenty of opportunity to practice. CHEMISTRY Our chemistry classes are taught by an amazing teacher who has experience with preparing students for the exam as well as vast background in writing books and testing materials. We spent time in class emphasizing on problems and practices that can boost students understanding the complex world of Chemistry. We also offer students time to explore and do hands-on experiments so they can actually see what their studying with their own eyes. This is very crucial in their studying. BIOLOGY We make sure that our students are not studying biology simply just to prepare for the exam. We understand too well that most teenagers need to gain a deeper understanding of their environment, health, and body. It is very important to us that our students are well-rounded and well-educated about the subject matter so they can become a healthy individual who can and will make sound decisions in life. We want our students to become cognizant of their surroundings as well as their own action and how they affect the world in which they live. KHMER LITERATURE Our Khmer curriculum is not only focused on writing but teaching students how to think critically. Our teachers are equipped with vast knowledge of novels, poetry, music, and more to make sure that our students are well-immersed in the culture of literacy and writing. We do not just teach our students how to write to prepare for the exam, but we show them the love of reading and analyzing characters and the plots. HISTORY Our teacher is an amazing historian who brings past events to life with his deep interest in the subject and his connection with the students. At Rodwell, students are taught to love history and to learn from what happened. Our students learn how to evaluate and debate over what was right and wrong. We bring history to life with movies and presentation to retell stories that should never be forgotten. |
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Part of our PASS Program, we require our students to join variety of activities through out the years as a part of their leadership and self development, which includes workshops, seminars, training, and field trips. These activities will allow the students to learn new things and discover creative ideas that no subject in the classroom can offer. They will also allow the students to bond and learn from each other in a different capacity. Students are put into work in a different learning environment, facing various challenges that will push them to grow and development necessary skills and the confidence needed to prepare themselves for the National Exam. These activities are not just for fun; they are skill builders. Our students have shown dramatic changes in their attitude, mindset, and determination to achieve higher goals when they return from these trips. These are life changers.

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
We teach our students to care for the environment and their surrounding as it is their duties and responsibility to leave this planet better than it is now for the next generation. At our school, we ask our students to recycle and throw their waste away accordingly. We do our best to eliminate the use of plastics, but we could do better, so we continue to learn and grow from it. We take our students to plant trees, to visit national parks to learn about the environment and what they can do to be a part of the solution our country needs. Our students will become the change makers that one day will give back to their community and their country. That's our mission.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
We believe that students do better in school when they have purposes in life. Because grade 12 is an exam year, most students are very caught up with their study and that can be stressful and confusing at times. That's why we seek ways to get their mind off of school by giving them a chance to do something good for others. Civic Engagement is built into the curriculum to provide opportunities for our students to give back and do good for our community. We have done many fund raising events to raise money for local NGO including CCF and Kuntha Bopha Children Hospital. We want to install a sense of giving back in our students, and especially, we want to teach them that doing good and giving back do not need to be big. It can start with them, small acts but powerful.

We want to make sure that our students learn to appreciate our culture and traditions while having a good time. We provide a positive outlet to allow our students to have a good time in the best protected environment positive because their safety is our number one priority.
